Chapter 26. Knowing Your Vulnerability to Self-Sabotage

Sometimes it is important to defend a principle even though it is controversial and will create a conflict. Before taking such a position, however, you must consider whether you will sabotage yourself.

For many reasons (sibling rivalry, family training, cultural background, etc.) some people more easily let go of the emotions that accompany conflict. Others internalize the emotions and allow the conflict to seriously disrupt their lives.
