Chapter 4. Four-Phase Process

As valuable as are Guiding Principles and Strategic Approaches, you also need a systematic Process for dealing with disagreement.

Your process should: (1) anticipate disagreement before it boils over into heated conflict; (2) plan an appropriate strategy; (3) prepare to set your strategy in motion; and (4) take action (or planned inaction), monitoring the results. Figure 2 presents the framework for this approach, which includes steps to take at each point.
