Chapter 6. Where do I Start?

Most organizations hire employees to fit a job description and then tell them why they are there and what they should do. Employees function quite easily without their own personal goals and direction. However, personal goals can provide you with energy, enthusiasm and a clear plan on how to get things done in your job. [*] Unless you clarify how your personal goals are connected to organizational direction, you may become frustrated or burned out.
