Chapter 23. Anxiety > Conclusion

Conclusion

Anxiety can make people tense and uncomfortable, drain their energy, and impair their performance. As a result of the toll that anxiety takes and the things people do to avoid becoming anxious, many will find anxious coworkers difficult to deal with. People may wonder if the anxious person is using drugs, is depressed, has a medical problem, or is simply a difficult person with an unpleasant personality. When recognized, anxiety disorders are often very treatable. Doing so can markedly improve productivity, relationships, and happiness.
