Plan B

The professional scrambler always has an alternative plan, or a Plan B, that he (or she) can put into operation when needed.

Having a Plan B is similar to a company that has a business plan. The company has a vision and mission for its future. It has strategies to achieve its goals. Its business plan describes what the company does, where it plans to go, and how it will get there. By developing your “personal” business plan, you identify your career (and personal) goals and the viable routes you may take to reach your mission. The best Plan B, as part of a personal business plan, includes a well-thought-out strategy (including an up-to-the-minute resume, outside contacts, and constantly updated skills) that will permit the scrambler to locate a better position with another firm in the shortest possible time.
