195 Part 5. If It Wasn't For My Difficult Co- Workers We've talked about dealing with difficult employees and difficult bosses. Co-workers can also be difficult and aggravating--the insensitive folks who never take responsi-bility for anything, the back- stabbers and gossips, and the turf-warriors. These people can also interfere with getting the work done and drive you to the rubber room. We'll look at different kinds of conflict and at the five major strategies for managing it. We'll also look at how you can mobilize support from the rest of your organization to address the difficult co-worker.
