Also, if you react without thinking, then you are likely to increase the chances that you will be chosen as a future victim. Your responsibilities as a manager are important, too. Not only must you act to save yourself from victimhood, but you must act when people in your charge are being damaged, or the capabilities of your organization are reduced because of one or more difficult people.
