Part IV: Veil #3: I’m Not _____ Enough > Giving Yourself Daily Acknowledgments

Chapter 28. Giving Yourself Daily Acknowledgments

How often have you gone to bed at night rehashing in your mind the mistakes you made, the errors in judgment, the words spoken that were better left unsaid? When you do this, you erode your self-esteem. To increase your self-esteem, try giving yourself daily acknowledgments instead.

A daily acknowledgment consists of taking a few minutes before you go to bed to recount to yourself 10 things you did that you feel good about. These do not need to be grand accomplishments. The quality of your life is measured by the little things. Reflect on the day for all the positive things you said or did. If you fall asleep remembering the things you feel good about, you will awaken feeling good about yourself.
