Part IV: Veil #3: I’m Not _____ Enough > Analyzing Your Self-Talk

Chapter 27. Analyzing Your Self-Talk

You talk to yourself all day. In fact, you have been talking to yourself as you read this book. During these internal conversations, you may be planning, worrying, rehearsing, or remembering. As you engage in these thoughts, you might also be judging yourself.

For example, if you are planning, you may think, “I don’t know how to do this, I’ll never figure it out.” Or perhaps you are worrying with thoughts such as “I bet I don’t get the promotion because I’m not as experienced as the other candidates.” If you are remembering, you might think, “Why did I say that—it was such a stupid thing to say.”
