Less Is More

Finding your purpose requires you to slow down and create enough space in your life that your purpose can emerge and reveal itself to you. In their book, Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People are Changing the World, Paul Ray and Sherry Ruth Anderson describe a quiet movement of people committed to voluntary simplicity, living in greater harmony with the rhythms of nature, and finding and living a life of purpose. You might be one of them.

Paradoxes have been sprinkled throughout this book to help you see that finding your purpose is not an either/or proposition. Your purpose emerges and you create it. The first paradox below addresses the concept that if you think there is something missing in your life, doing more will not help you find what it is. Increasing the activity in your life will only solidify the veil of busyness.
