Respond with Active Listening

An active listening response would sound something like this: “Kerry, I hear that you are angry with me for bringing this up and that you think your not completing the analysis is none of my business. Right?”

Kerry might react: “You bet I’m angry! I work just as hard as you, and I resent your implying that I’m not doing my share of the work!”
