Loading and Transforming VRML Worlds

In Part 2 of this book you learned how to create simple VRML worlds and also how to customize the appearance of premade VRML content for your own needs. Chapter 10, "Creating New VRML Worlds," even showed you how to assemble more sophisticated worlds by inlining existing VRML files, and how to get started creating complex VRML worlds from scratch using a visual authoring tool.

Unfortunately, visual Java 3D authoring tools do not yet exist. However, as a result of Java 3D's close relationship with VRML (see Chapter 11, "Java 3D Overview" ) you can use a great deal of existing VRML content in your Java 3D programs.
