Method and Madness

At the end of this chapter, we will have produced a default CSS layout [16.1] and an alternate version [16.2] that the visitor can select by clicking a user interface widget. Designing the alternate version is mainly a matter of saving the original CSS file under a new name and editing its values. Colors change, as do a few fonts, and a nonscrolling image is positioned at the bottom of the screen, but essentially it will take little additional work to create the alternate style. How many alternate styles can you serve on one site? As many as you like.
