Using Control Panel Settings

There are essentially two ways to handle the visual appearance of an application: You can either take over the user's environment completely, imposing your own color schemes, fonts, and perhaps even widget shapes, or you can use the settings established by the user in the Control Panel.

For most business applications, you should adopt the latter approach for several reasons. First, many of your users will be working with the application for hours each day, and adopting the Control Panel settings allows them to set precisely the visual appearance they find most comfortable.
