Primary Windows

The main distinction in window types is between primary and secondary windows. Primary windows represent either the application itself (Visual Studio, for example) or specific data objects (a Form window in Visual Studio). Primary windows have characteristics and behaviors that are different from secondary windows. Figure 8-1 shows the standard components of a primary window.
