Chapter 7. Entity Types

In this chapter, we'll begin our examination of the user interface at the form and page level with a (relatively) brief excursus on the Entity-Relationship (ER) model. We'll be using this model as the context of our discussion in this and Part III of the book.

After examining the ER model and ER diagrams, we'll move on to an examination of simple entities and several different kinds of complex entities. Finally, we'll examine some special situations such as scheduling and surveys that present unusual user interface problems.
