TreeView

Like the other list controls, the TreeView control displays a list of data, but unlike the others, it displays (or at least can display) multiple lists arranged in a hierarchy. The classic example of the use of a TreeView is the left pane of the Windows Explorer.

The items in a TreeView control are referred to as nodes, and can contain other nodes. These child nodes can be hidden by collapsing the parent node. Just to complete the family analogy, nodes at the same level of the hierarchy are referred to as sibling nodes. The top-level nodes of the TreeView are called root nodes.
