Pens and Brushes

If you stayed awake during geometry class, you may remember that points and lines have no dimension. Translate that into GDI+ terms and it means that they're not visible. But fear not, GDI+ supplies a set of Draw… and Fill… methods for drawing and filling shapes, respectively. Two GDI+ objects determine how these operations are performed—Pens to draw lines, and Brushes to fill shapes.

Pens

Both the Pen and Brush classes expose a series of properties that provide precise rendering control. Those provided by the Pen class are shown in Table 2-3.
