  • Find an executive champion who will move the usability effort forward. The champion must:

    • Get trained in the basics of usability

    • Understand and evangelize the specific value of usability to the organization

    • Understand the current development process and how usability will fit in

    • Expect and acknowledge resistance to the institutionalization process

    • Keep the initiative moving long term

  • The champion may transition to a full Chief User Experience Officer (CXO) role, with responsibility and control over all aspects of the customer's engagement with your organization.
