Chapter 5. The Web User, Part 2: Older Adults

When we are determining user context, we must also consider whether the target audience represents a demographic population segment, such as women or men, the disabled, children, students, or older adults. Designers should use the research literature on demographic audience segments to drive their design decisions. In this chapter we present a case of using state-of-the-art research to help us design Web sites for the older adult segment of our population.
