Themes

This book focuses on two themes: (1) designing for context and (2) designing for the user experience.

Designing for Context

Designing usable Web sites and applications requires employing a contextual design methodology that is geared to the Web. This contextual approach to Web design includes treatments of the Web environment, the user, the Web genre, the Web site, and the Web page. A separate chapter is devoted to each of these “Web contexts.”
