The Refinement, Production, and Implementation Phases

When you're developing a site, invariably issues arise that cause the design to change, such as software issues or a change due to a better understanding of the flow of the customer through your site. Whenever you make a change, and as the dynamics of a site evolve, you need additional testing to analyze the customer response. Bringing participants to your company for in-person testing might be too time-consuming for every change. Online solutions (see Section E.6, Comparison of Commercial Tools) that let you test a live site work very well in this phase and can make it easy to rerun the same tests as you have done previously and see how your changes have affected the results.
