Background

As described in MULTIPLE WAYS TO NAVIGATE (B1), a navigation framework needs to support both impulse- and intention-based activity. Most links on a Web page simply take you to another page. Some links, however, represent actions that cause other actions to happen. In a PROCESS FUNNEL (H1) we know that moving from step to step requires a clear call to action. This pattern looks at how to differentiate ordinary links from action links through the use of buttons.
