Provide a Task-Based Organization Scheme to Let Customers Modify Their Information

Use a TASK-BASED ORGANIZATION (B4) scheme that lets visitors access their account information while they are in the middle of a task, without having to go back to the account information page to add or update information. For example, Figure H4.4 shows how CDNOW provides links to let customers change their credit card information while they are checking out.

Figure H4.4. CDNOW shows customers their account information in context, when they need it for a specific task. For example, customers can change their credit card information at the checkout instead of having to go back to the account information page.
