Different Motivations Lead to Different Styles of Navigation

Familiar navigation helps customers the most, regardless of whether they have a clear idea of how to move forward. Navigation options include the familiar search and browse styles (see Figure B1.3), as well as the next-step, or wizard, style. The relate and promote navigation styles work best with impulsive behavior. Table B1.1 shows how motivations and navigation styles are supported through specific navigation tools.
