Navigation Schemes

Web site designers should always consider their target audience first when they create a site’s navigation scheme. Navigation schemes should enable visitors to find what they are searching for as quickly and as easily as possible.

Many web sites use multiple navigation schemes. For example, a site might have a series of navigation buttons down the left side of a screen and have corresponding text links at the bottom of a screen (see Figure 2.16).
