Chapter 13. GLOBAL CONTENT MANAGEMENT > MANAGING LOCALIZED WEB SITES

MANAGING LOCALIZED WEB SITES

When a localized web site goes live, the real work begins. Much of the work that goes into maintaining a localized web site is represented in Figure 13.1. This localization maintenance loop begins when changes are detected on the source-language site. Companies typically want any changes made to the source-language site reflected across all localized sites—and quickly.

Figure 13.1. The localization maintenance loop: Maintaining localized web sites is often more challenging and expensive than the initial localization.
