Current Browsers

To be able to reliably predict how your XML-derived Web pages will look, you need to be familiar with the capabilities of current browsers and give careful thought as to the likely range of browser versions your target customers are likely to be using.

The reality is that XML support is relatively limited at the time of this writing, as is support for XHTML (as written in the specification). So, for at least a while, you might have to assume that you need to use output pages that can be handled by browsers designed to display vanilla HTML 4.0, rather than XML or XHTML.
