Troubleshooting

Using Frames to Contain Other Sites

What if I want to keep part of my site available at all times? Can I just link the external site into one of my own frames?

Can you? Technically speaking, yes. Legally speaking? Questionable. People have argued over this very issue and the general sense is that if doing this isn't exactly illegal, it is a complete lack of etiquette. What's more, it doesn't make experienced Web visitors very happy—when I get to a site I want to experience that site, not a hybrid. Newcomers to the Web might be completely confused by this action as well. There have even been court cases in which framed content has been considered copyright infringement when incorporated into someone else's site. So, I recommend you never do this.
