Troubleshooting

Using Different Tools

If someone takes over a project that's been originated in a Web Page Editor such as FrontPage, is it worth taking the time to reformat the code to XHTML?

The first thing to consider before taking on such a large task is how the work is being used and updated. If a project entails moving back and forth from FrontPage, it's not worth reformatting the code because this will become a constant task. If the project will remain in a text-editing environment, it is definitely worth the effort. You will find that it's easier to make sense of the code and eliminate extraneous tags after it's in a workable and valid format.
