Nesting and Stacking Tables

To create complex layouts using tables, you can often employ column and row spanning. Spanning provides options that help designers break from strict column and row design and add some visual diversity.

However, sometimes this technique is limited or cannot provide you with the control you're after. Say you want to create a layout that manages a background margin tile, yet you want to have central sections broken up. And, within those sections, you want to add swatches of background design or color.
