Troubleshooting

Link Colors

Q1:Does the visited link color always have to be different from the link color?
A1: Changing visited links to a different color helps visitors keep track of where they've already clicked and what's left to explore. For design or content purposes, it may be preferable to have visited links retain the same color as unvisited links. In these cases, just give the vlink the same color value as the link.

Matching Colors

Q1:How can you match a color in a JPEG background to choose a text or link color?
A1: Because of the compression methods used in JPEGs, it is almost impossible to find an exact color match between a JPEG and a Web-safe color. Try to find complimentary text and link colors, and simply do the best you can. Unless it is absolutely necessary for your background to be a JPEG, also try to use GIF backgrounds as much as possible.
