Troubleshooting

Using Frames to Contain Other Sites

Q1:What if I want to keep part of my site available at all times? Can you just link the external site into one of my own frames?
A1: Can you? Technically speaking, yes. Legally speaking? Questionable. People have argued over this very issue and the general sense is that if doing this isn't exactly illegal, it is a complete lack of etiquette. What's more, it doesn't make experienced Web visitors very happy—when I get to a site I want to experience that site, not a hybrid. Newcomers to the Web might be completely confused by this action as well. I recommend you never do this.

Printing Frames

Q1:How can I make my framed pages easily printable?
A1: Provide a link to a printable format or a downloadable text, HTML, or even PDF (PostScript Document) file available so that individuals who want to print out portions of your site can do so with ease.
