Hands-On Lesson: Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and Type Effects

It is often necessary to employ an object-oriented program like Adobe Illustrator 8.0 to create specialized type effects that would be difficult or impossible to produce in a raster-based imaging or paint program. Illustrator has extraordinary type and distortion capabilities that are unavailable in Photoshop.
