Dynamic Web Applications

Dynamic Web applications are powerful tools that can leverage and unify company data and legacy systems for specific and timely information not possible on those systems alone. Using the same open standards, protocols, and technologies as found on the Web, advanced applications are developed for intranets—not only tapping into existing databases and applications, but also extending the use of that information beyond static views and linear dimensions to include intuitive and graphical data available throughout the enterprise.

Dynamic Web applications typically combine a variety of available Web technologies, both on the server- and client-side. Typically, intranets tend to make heavy use of server applications due to the database tracking and control necessary to manage business concerns. Which database and server-side technologies are chosen to manage a given intranet will depend heavily upon platform and what technology is already in use.
