Knowing the Business and Setting Goals

When the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (see Figure 39.4) decided that it wanted its own Internet presence, it hired a professional Web design firm to manage the site's creation and implementation. The design team quickly realized that creating a site for the Roosevelt required not only a sense of the hospitality industry but also of the Roosevelt's unique place in the history of Hollywood.
