Managing Site Updates

A Web site is a constantly changing thing—or should be. If your business Internet site isn't changing and growing, there's a good chance that your business isn't either. The continuing development of your site should keep pace with the continuing development of your business. Got a new product? Time to put it online. Filled that vacancy? Pull that job posting down off your site. Having a sale this week? Put it online, and make sure to take it down next week after the sale is over.

This means, quite simply, that someone in your business has to take responsibility for the maintenance and ongoing development of your site. If you operate a Web design business of your own, you can offer maintenance services on an ongoing-fee basis to clients whose sites you've built.
