Organizing a Larger Site

For complex sites, sophisticated layout and graphics can help organize and improve the looks of your site when used consistently throughout all of your pages. To see how you can make aesthetics and organization work hand-in-hand, look at a site that needs to present a large volume of information to several different audiences.

Figure 22.5 shows the top part of the Center for Journal Therapy home page. This site currently provides access to the equivalent of about 75 paper pages of text, in the form of 25 electronic documents. As the Center for Journal Therapy continues to publish newsletters, directories, and instructional materials, the site is likely to expand to hundreds of paper pages' worth of information.
