Preparing Your Server

When a visitor types in the URL of an HTML page, the server looks at the file name, goes and fetches the document, compares the .html (or .htm) extension against the MIME types it’s familiar with and treats it accordingly. Since HTML is so popular, all servers are set up to handle HTML files. You may have to help your server know what to do with WML files by associating the file extensions with the proper MIME types.
