Organizing the Page

HTML provides for up to six levels of headers in your Web page for dividing your page into manageable chunks. You will seldom have to use more than three.

To organize your Web page with headers:

1.
In the BODY section of your HTML document, type <Hn, where n is a number from 1 to 6, depending on the level of header that you want to create.

Figure 2.16. Don't repeat the information from your title in the header. The header should help organize the information on the page in sections while the title summarizes that information.


2.
If desired, to align the header, typeALIGN=direction, where direction is left, right, or center.

Type >.

4.
Type the contents of the header.

5.
Type </Hn> where n is the same number used in step 1.
