Chapter 14. Setting up Style Sheets > Using Custom Block-Level HTML Tags

Using Custom Block-Level HTML Tags

Using a custom block-level tag is not much different from using any other HTML tag. You just have to specify the class or ID.

To use the custom block-level tag:

1.
At the beginning of the desired section of your document, type <DIV.

2.
Type CLASS="classname", where classname identifies the type of section.

Or type ID="idname", where idname identifies this particular section.

3.
Type the final >.

4.
Create the contents of this section.

5.
At the end of the desired section, type </DIV>.
