Chapter 14. Setting up Style Sheets

Chapter 14. Setting up Style Sheets

There are three ways to apply style sheets: locally, internally, and externally. You can use any one or all three of these methods. The local method will override any internal styles while the internal styles will override styles applied from an external sheet. Indeed, this is where Cascading Style Sheets get their name.

This chapter explains how to set up and apply style sheets. To get more information about writing the style definitions themselves, consult Chapter 15, Formatting Text with Styles and Chapter 16, Layout with Styles.
