Getting a Script

If your ISP okays your use of CGI scripts, your next step is to get your hands on one. You might start with the scripts included with this book (see page 191). Or you can either write your own or adapt one of the hundreds of scripts available on the Web. Some of these scripts are free, others require some sort of compensation to the programmer. While you can find scripts all over the Web, I've found four particularly good places to look.

The CGI Resource Index

The CGI Resource Index, published by Matt's Script Archive, Inc. (see below), lists hundreds of links to Perl CGI scripts, documentation, books, magazine articles, programmers, and jobs. It's at http://www.cgi-resources.com(Figure 11.6).
