Creating Alternatives to Frames

Although Netscape and Internet Explorer have been able to display frames since version 2, and frames have been added to the official HTML specifications with version 4, some browsers (OK, not many) still do not support them. You can create alternate content that will appear if your visitor's browser doesn't support frames. To create alternatives to frames:

1.
Type <NOFRAMES> just before the last </FRAMESET> tag (Figure 10.43).

2.
Create the content that you want to appear if the frames do not.

3.
When you've finished creating the alternate content, type <NOFRAMES>.
