Chapter 14. Using ActionScript Behaviors > Using the Goto Web Page Behavior

Using the Goto Web Page Behavior

The Goto Web Page Behavior gives you the ability to link a Flash document to the Web, with the use of interactive button objects. For example, you can create a Web site entirely in Flash, and then use the Goto Web Page Behavior to direct visitors to other sites and pages, or you could create a set of interactive buttons for use on a standard HTML driven Web site. Whichever option you choose, the ability to direct a visitor to other Web sites is essential to creating Internet-oriented documents.

Use the Goto Web Page Behavior

1.
Drag a button object from the Library onto the Stage, and then select the button.

2.
Click the Add (+) button in the Behaviors panel, point to Web, and then click Go To Web Page.

3.
Enter the full URL path to the Web page.

4.
Click OK.

5.
Click the Event list arrow, and then select an event to trigger the Goto Web Page Behavior.

6.
Click the Control menu, and then click Test Movie.
