Opening an Existing Document

You can open an existing document file and the Flash program at one time, or you can open the file from within Flash. In Windows Explorer (Win) or Finder (Mac), you can double-click a Flash document to open the Flash program and the document. In Flash, you can use the Open section on the Start Page or the Open commands on the File menu to open a Flash document. You can open flash documents and movies in several formats, including .fla (Flash Document), .as (ActionScript), and .swf (Flash Movie).

Open a Flash Document

1.
Click the File menu, and then click Open.

TIMESAVER Click Open or a recently opened Flash document name on the Start Page to open a document.

Navigate to the drive or folder where the file is located.

Click the document file you want to open.

4.
Click Open.
