Chapter 1. Getting Started with Flash 8 > Working with Document Windows

Working with Document Windows

When you open multiple documents, you can use the Window menu or tabs at the top of the Document window to switch between them. Tabs are available only when documents are maximized in the Document window ( for Mac). You can click a tab name to switch and activate the document. By default, tabs are displayed in the order in which you open or create documents. When documents are not maximized, you can resize a Document window using the mouse. Each window has one or more buttons on the title bar that allow you to close or change a window’s size. When you want to move or copy information between documents, it’s easier to arrange several Document windows on the screen at the same time. However, you must make the window active to work in it.

Switch Between Multiple Documents

1.
Click the Maximize button on the Document window.

2.
Open more than one document.

3.
Click a tab name to switch to the document.
