Chapter 13. Applying Timeline Effects > Removing Timeline Effects

Removing Timeline Effects

It’s possible that, once created, you will want to remove a Timeline effect from a Flash object. Flash will not only remove the Timeline effect, in addition, it will restore the object to its original state. While, in many cases it might be just as easy to delete the layer containing the Timeline effect and start over, it’s possible that the graphic used in the creation of the effect is an important element, and you don’t wish to redraw it. In addition to restoring the original object, Flash will also purge the Library of all the elements it used in the creation of the Timeline effect.

Remove Timeline Effects

1.
Select the Timeline effect.

2.
Click the Modify menu, point to Timeline Effects, and then click Remove Effect.

Flash removes the Timeline effect, and restores the object to its original state.

IMPORTANT When you remove a Timeline effect, Flash removes the effect in two steps. If you change your mind and want to restore the effect, remember that you will have to use the undo command +Z (Mac) or Ctrl+Z (Win) twice, or the effect will not be restored.
