Movie-Related Objects and Classes

ActionScript defines a number of objects designed specifically for creating Web animation. Thirteen such objects are classified as Movie objects and listed under Objects, Movie in the Macromedia Flash MX Toolbox list (on the left side of the Actions panel). These 13 Movie objects are as follows: Accessibility, System.capabilities, Button, Color, Key, Mouse, MovieClip, Selection, Sound, Stage, System, TextField, and TextFormat.

These Flash-specific objects are not defined in the ECMA-262 standard or implemented in JavaScript. Nevertheless, they include some of the most widely used classes in ActionScript, such as MovieClip, TextField, and TextFormat.
