Chapter 2. The Flash Interface > Setting Document Attributes

Setting Document Attributes

You can now access document attributes, formerly known as movie properties, from the Property Inspector or by choosing Modify, Document. The Property Inspector shows the Document attributes by default when a new movie is created, or you can access them by clicking on the Stage with no other object selected. The Size button launches a mostly redundant Document Attributes pop-up dialog box, where you can specify the Stage dimensions, match settings, background color, frame rate, and ruler units. The Publish button launches the Publish Settings dialog box. The Background color box provides drop-down color swatches to specify the background color of the Stage. The frames per second (fps) specify the speed at which the movie plays; you can enter the speed directly into the Frame Rate field.
